Open Position - Carpenter
Summary Objective
A Carpenter with Starnet Technologies is responsible for working with others on the carpenter team to build Arrow Station units, including working on the structure itself from roof to base as well as fixtures and hardware, in a manufacturing environment. They would also need to be able to work with project management to determine the inventory of materials and availability of those materials.
Essential Functions
- Build Arrow Station buildings according to provided plans and specifications
- Ability to follow the construction process from start to finish in a timely fashion
- Ability to work on multiple construction projects simultaneously and efficiently
- Work with project management to accurately forecast material needs

- Knowledge of how to use basic hand tools such as hammers, drills, and various saws

Work Environment
This job operates in a typical shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is also frequent use of power tools, including saws, and forklifts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, a 40-hour work week with the potential of some paid overtime. This is not a remote position. The shop and office for Starnet Technologies are located at 8520 Hollander Drive, Franksville, WI 53126.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Post-secondary education or trade school is preferred but not required.
